TOMS’ 69 CAMARO RESTOMOD

We at Heidts are very fond of the Chevy Camaro, whether it be our ’68 tearing up the track, our classic ’71 that has graced the covers of magazines, our or new ’92 that’s being fitted with it’s new IRS. When we see cars like Tom’s ’69 Camaro, we get that itch to add another one to our garage. Tom did a full frame off restoration, and instead of going back to stock, took the restomod route to create this beautiful machine. Powering the car is a fuel injected 350ci Ramjet crate motor mated to a 700R4 GM transmission and finished off with a posi rear end and 17″ American Racing rims.

The interior keeps a mix of new and original parts with a focus on comfortably for cruising and car shows. The original dash is now filled with Dakota digital gauges, an aftermarket DVD screen, and subwoofer and amps providing the entertainment. Suspension wise, the Camaro is sporting the Heidts upper and lower tubular control arms with 1″ chopped springs up front, and a 4-link triangular suspension out back.
